Garrafón Park

Garrafón Park: This is a national park dedicated to marine life and adventure. The
snorkeling is not what it once was due to a combination of hurricanes and human
impact. The coral has not yet returned to life, despite many conservation efforts.
However, the park can be a great way to spend a day, especially if there are
children that need entertainment. Garrafón offers a swimming pool, zip line, bicycle
tour, restaurant and bar, beach chairs, shaded hammocks, changing rooms with
showers, lockers, and gift shops. The Eco park includes a buffet lunch, domestic
open bar, and use of snorkeling equipment and kayaks. The zipline is an additional
fee. Garrafón de Castilla: Often called “the cheap one” to distinguish it from its
more expensive neighbor. For a small entrance fee, you can snorkel the same reef
as Garrafón Park and utilize the small private beach with chairs and umbrellas. You
can bring your own snorkel equipment or rent theirs (about $8US for a set).
Garrafón de Castilla has a nice onsite restaurant, lockers, showers and some of the
best snorkeling you can find around the island.
